About Westside

Westside Lawn Tennis Club is one of the premier tennis clubs in the Surrey, situated a short distance from Wimbledon Village and Wimbledon Common.

We have an excellent range of facilities, whether you want to stretch yourself at a competitive level, escape from the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy some leisurely social tennis, or just visit to meet friends for a drink or two, Westside is a great place to hang out, enjoy some great tennis and stay fit and healthy.

On the court Westside offers an extensive range of tennis activities for both adults and juniors. We have high performing teams in both the County and National Club leagues, as well as a comprehensive programme of club sessions including team practices, social tennis and organised tennis groups, and as an LTA Performance Satellite Club we also run an excellent junior development programme.

We are also accredited with the LTA's Clubmark status. Achieving Tennis Clubmark means the LTA endorses and supports the club’s tennis programme, policies and procedures, action and development planning, and club management.

All of this in a small, friendly club setting - a true members club.

The Courts

All of our courts are well maintained and cleaned and re-surfaced at regular intervals to ensure that they are in excellent condition:

• 6 Porous Macadam Hard Courts
• 3 Porous Acrylic Hard Courts
• 3 Artificial Grass Courts
• 1 Practice Mini Court

Ten of these courts are floodlit and can be pre-booked in the evenings until 10.30pm.

The Clubhouse

Our clubhouse underwent a substantial refurbishment at the end of 2006 and provides a comfortable, stylish place to socialise when you're off the court. We have large changing rooms with power showers, a TV area equipped with Sky and a large flat screen TV and comfortable lounge and bar area to sit and relax between games, as well as plenty of outdoor seating on the lawn in front of the clubhouse.

Westside Bar and Café

We also have a bar and cafe providing a great range of sweets, crisps, soft drinks, wine, spirits and a wide range of beers (the cheapest in town!), as well as hot and cold snacks and food in the afternoons and at the weekends.
