Juniors

Whether it's fun social tennis, competitive matches in our tournaments or the National Club Leagues, or simply a great place to meet up with their friends in a safe environment (the Clubhouse is a great place to relax and watch sport on our large screen Sky TV), and join in social events, we welcome juniors of all standards.

Individual and group coaching is available on request and coaching courses are regularly arranged. We also have mini tennis squads to cater for the very young (3-7 years old).

As Westside has Performance Satellite Club status from the LTA we are a key part of the development of tennis in Britain and have a keen focus on developing up-and-coming young players.

Junior Membership

What are the benefits of being a junior member?

• Priority places and reduced fees on Coaching Courses (term time) and camps (holidays) held at the Club
  


• Internal Competition: Junior Club Championships and regular one day tournaments
  


• External Competition: National Junior Club League
  


• Annual Awards Night and Disco
  At the end of the year the coaching team review the junior year with presentations for the ‘most improved’ junior, ‘most valuable’ and the special ‘recognition award’, followed by the end of year disco (entry fee applies)


• Adult and Child tournaments
  These popular events, taking place once or twice a year, combine adults and juniors to battle it out against other pairs for the coveted trophy


• Box League Competitions
  Run throughout the year


• Other Opportunities
  Help to become Tennis Assistants and Coaches, Tennis scholarship
