The Scott Hampton Trophy

To celebrate Scott's passion for tennis, a Charity Tennis Tournament in his name was played was played at Westside on 23rd September 2006.

Top players including old rivals and competitors of Scott's took part in a SUPER-SET KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT. A great day was had by all, the Winner was Marek Karas.

The ambition is to make this a yearly event, and for it to become a recognized LTA ratings tournament.

Always remembering this was for Scott's foundation to raise money for research into Burkitt's Lymphoma Cancer.

Scott Hamption

4 January 1974 - 18 November 2005

Scott, son of Stephanie and Wade Hampton, was an active and very popular member at Westside from the age of 10 and played many times for our teams.

Scott died in November 2005 at the age of 31, having spent the last 8 months of his life fighting Burkitt's Lymphoma, a rare and very aggressive form of cancer.
